Content

"The shoot took place over three days: between 9am and 6pm on 22nd September 2005,

between 11.30 am and 6pm on 26th September and between 9.30am and 1pm on 7th

October 2005. I used a Fuji fine pix 520 pro and an Olympus Om 101 with 24 and 50mm

lenses and Fujifilm X-tra color 800 asa film. The idea was to photograph the artist’s studio.

The goal was only partly reached: in observing and photographing the work spaces in the

studio, the artist’s tools and methods, the eye of the photograph lost its objective points of

reference more than once, especially on closer examination. I tried to maintain two

perspectives: near and far. By alternating these points of view I got a specific sense of the

spaces but I also lost myself, overwhelmed by strong emotions, among the countless

chromatic messages everywhere I looked..."
