Tancredi

This “Sedimentation” came about while relating to the Tancredi painting, “Composizione astratta. Soggiorno a Venezia”, oil on faesite, 93.3 x 127.8cm, housed at the Ca’ Pesaro Museum in Venice.
To define the project of the work I created for the “Casa Scatturin” where the painter Tancredi had lived at various times, it was necessary to go and see this painting in the art gallery on more than one occasion in order to relate to his painting, his palette and his mood.
I sat in front of this painting for months, taking a colour and stratifying it on my canvas. My “Sedimentation” is the result of these visits and of my encounter with this painting.
