Unknown painter

From the clump via various colours I arrive at the blue sugar paper
This work relates to a painting I am very fond of that I found when I was clearing out the basement in the house where I was born. I am not sure, but I think it was painted by my dad or maybe my uncle – his brother – when they were young.
It depicts a space of interiors and it is precisely this reference to an everyday space that I am interested in.
My part of the painting was sedimented on a canvas of the same size as the reference model and it contains the colour points that I felt emerge from the greyish background, which is similar to the “clump” of colour at the bottom of my brush holder.
The two paintings together form a diptych: on the left is the one I found and on the right is mine.
