Grips, Lumps, Stones

Work description and interpretation
The place of origin. The place where the colour is made: the bowl in which Maria creates the colour every day and the kneader in which the paper machine mixes the colours for the paper. Favini’s colours are crystallised through the mould of my hand; it is about “clutches of colour” whereas mine is through sponges which absorb it and allow you to hold it in your hand. It is then added like an intruder, an interruption, an azurite stone grafted onto this trace like a meteorite catapulted into this cycle.
