What I mean by “keeping a diary” is the way in which a trace of one’s life is kept day by day.
The diary develops with linearity, over time, creating a discourse consisting of fragments. It often springs from an obsessive form and from the fear of not letting things go, of keeping hold of them, of accumulating them, of the need to record them and finally to document and archive one’s existential time.
For me the diary is the means to take care of my intimacy. You have to start from yourself, from the uniqueness that each person represents. It is only be starting from one’s subjectivity and from one’s reciprocal differences that I can see the possibility of a dialogue. An individuality that can expand only if it is placed in relation to someone else’s.
Within this experience, in the arc of this shared time, I synchronised with the curator Elena Volpato and the five artists, Daniele Costa, Alice Mazzarella, Davide Sgambaro, Caterina Silva and Virginia Russolo, with the perception of having traversed a piece of existence together, of having in a certain sense travelled in unison with them all.
