Dome - Plate

Work description and interpretation
Ceramic plate shaped on a lathe, painted with glaze. In the period in which I was copying actual cupolas and paintings that described an internal and concave space (practically the inside of my body) I had the desire to take up ceramics again: earth, substance, clay. I kept to a traditional form: the plate. I sensed these circularities as though they were my cupolas, my internal and concave spaces. Inside this cavity I painted with my red: a pure substance that is fixed with the use of fire.
