Tunics for Ostension #1

Tunics designed for the performance that is an integral part of the work ‘Ostension 1’.
The idea was to have fairly neutral clothing that would not interfere with the chromatic body of the paintings. Bearing in mind that the role played by the performers is also that of actually installing the exhibition, the idea is to wear made-to-measure clothes that are easy to move and work in. They are made from the same plain cotton canvas fabric that the artist paints on. During the performance, the installers wear a piece of jewellery-sculpture extracted from the ‘Infinite Painting’. The jewellery stands out against the pristine canvas fabric as an artistic sign.
On the front of the tunic is a pocket, like a marsupial, for holding the ‘List’ of the artistic elements, which is useful for recalling the order of the paintings during the performance.

Apparatuses
I decide to use all of those elements usually considered as equipment, tools, systems which transmit the work, such as the caption, the site, the archive etc., as an integral part of my work. It is almost as though I were going to define a sort of ecosystem, a world that is capable of defining itself.
All the works that are part of other series also belong to this one.
