Work description and interpretation
Drawing made using the stamps I designed for the archive. These symbols, created with the idea of summarising in a single sign the bowl and the space it contains, become the system used to mark the space of the sheet of paper. The sheet, which has the form of the ‘Gestureplace’ reproduced on a 1:10 scale, is on the one hand a means of imagining the physical and mental movements in my studio and on the other is transformed into an imaginative, wider world in which my gesture flies, dances, flits about.
At the end of the route, at the end of the stamping, the drawing is touched with a finger soaked in colour in a place corresponding to one of the bowls as a way of fixing its movement.
