Archivio generale dell'opera, delle esposizioni e dei documenti di Maria Morganti

Description
This is a private archive. It is consulted only with the permission and the presence of the artist
Content
I began to think about the archive when I started painting the “Diaries” in 2006 and I created it over the space of about five years between 2011 and 2016. It will continue to grow and change over time. After an initial meeting in 2011 with the archivist Federico Sardella, who gave me some advice, Antonella Campisi worked on its construction with me until 2016. Francesco Allegretto has taken almost all the photos over the last few years, while Jo-Ann Titmarsh has translated almost all of the text into English. Studio 42bit designed the first version and Roberto Boldi designed the current one, linking it to the site. I consider the gesture of cataloguing, conserving and memorising as a work in its own right, along with all the reasoning about my way of working. All the archiving of my work becomes like a tautology inserted into the archive itself. It is a private work, which is only partially visible to the public through the website.
