Having it interpreted

Allowing all the material to be put in someone else’s hands

Archiving, dis-archiving and then re-archiving again, placing things next to each other in a thousand different ways. Never writing anything definitive but instead opening to infinite re-readings and rebelling against a preconstructed story and an unequivocal reading. Putting all of this in the hands of others and ensuring that others are going to rehash things to help me understand who I am and what I am doing.
In my archive I have built a database. I kept all the material produced there, leaving it free to be reorganised time and again with different criteria.
When I thought about it, I didn’t imagine it as an absolute and immobile being, but as an organism in movement capable of giving others the possibility of choosing, selecting and re-kneading the material.
I’ve given the first interpretation of this material in the part of the site called ‘Self-Portrait’, but the desire is that all this is gone through again, translated, reactivated with other eyes than mine to make sure that my interiority is put in relation to other worlds. To do this, I devised another space which I called ‘Portrait’ and which is dedicated to others. ‘Portrait’ is not so much the archive of different interpretations (which are already conserved here in the part called ‘Documents Archive’) as a symbolic space which speaks of the importance I wanted to give to the opinion that others have of what we do, giving them a voice and an avenue.
It is a point in the site which can potentially house specific projects by people who want to relate to and grapple with a reading of the material contained in the ‘Archivearchive’ and the ‘Self-Portrait’.
