"The Owner as Archivist". What I would like to say to the person about the holder of my works

subtitle

Attestato #2 to the Certificate of authenticity

Work description and interpretation
This text is the Statement that is given to the owners of my works.

The intention of the Statement is explained in its title: ‘To the owner archivist: Everything I would like to say to the owner of my work who, together with me, will become responsible for the archive.’
If Statement no. 1 to the certificate of authenticity talks of the open and free relationship that I allow the owner to start with the work, Statement no. 2 talks about the responsible relationship that I hope they will have regarding the archive.
I am only interested in the work’s material fate up to a certain point. The fundamental meaning for me lies in the archive, because it is precisely there that its memory is kept, the trace of the evolution of its story. The sense of everything is not conserved in the object-work, in its materiality, but in its evocation and in its event. The historicization and the history of the work are more important that the work itself.
Series description and interpretation
Apparatuses
I decide to use all of those elements usually considered as equipment, tools, systems which transmit the work, such as the caption, the site, the archive etc., as an integral part of my work. It is almost as though I were going to define a sort of ecosystem, a world that is capable of defining itself.

Artist's writings
The elements that make up the usual act of an artist’s writing are used here as an integral part of the system-process-work, so much so that I decided to catalogue them in the archive not just as documents but also as works.
They were written either because other artists asked for them, or they accompanied projects, or were read during conferences, or are published works and new writings. They are writings that almost never have an assertive-declarative structure, but which could rather be described as an epistolary-text, a confessional-text, an explicative-text of a feeling, an empathetic-text, a dedication-text, a description-text, a diary-text, an examination-text, a dialogue-text, etc.
